Backyard Discovery Greenhouses
Backyard Discovery greenhouses are built to a different standard. Most brands sell you a frame and polycarbonate panels and call it a greenhouse kit — we build a complete backyard greenhouse with every feature you need to grow already included. Our cedar greenhouse line is constructed from FSC-certified, kiln-dried wood with natural insulation and rot resistance. Our metal line uses galvanized steel and aluminum engineered to commercial standards. Both ship with the same structural ratings, the same included features, and the same 5-year warranty.
While most consumer greenhouses ship with the minimum 6mm twin-wall panels, every Backyard Discovery greenhouse uses commercial-grade 10mm 4-wall polycarbonate rated at R-2.1. Our outdoor greenhouses are rated to 100 mph winds and 50 lbs per square foot of snow load, and that R-2.1 insulation extends your growing season six to eight weeks in both spring and fall. For most climates, it turns a seasonal structure into a year round greenhouse.
