What Does the Backyard Discovery Infrared Sauna Warranty Cover?
Every component that ships with your Rylan Indoor Infrared Sauna is covered for 5 full years. That means every panel, every speaker, every light — not just the big-ticket items. Here's the breakdown.
Cedar Structure & Glass Door
The cedar walls, double-wall construction, bench, and 8mm tempered glass door are fully covered. If a structural component is defective, we replace it. Natural cedar color change from aging indoors is expected and isn't considered a defect — more on that in the exclusions section below.
Carbon FAR Infrared Heating Panels
All low-EMF carbon FAR infrared panels are covered for the full 5 years. These are the heart of the sauna, and if any panel develops a defect, we ship a replacement at no cost. The panels connect using simple push-in connectors — no special tools or electrical knowledge needed to swap one out.
Red Light Therapy & Chromotherapy
The integrated red light therapy panel (660nm and 850nm wavelengths) and the full-spectrum chromotherapy LED lighting are both covered. These aren't add-ons — they're core features of the Rylan, and we stand behind them the same way we stand behind the structure.
Electronics, Control Panels & Bluetooth Speakers
The interior and exterior digital control panels and both built-in Bluetooth speakers are covered. If a control board, sensor, wiring harness, or speaker fails due to a defect, that's on us to make right.
How Replacement Parts and Shipping Work
When we approve a warranty claim, we ship the replacement part directly to you — within 48 business hours of approval, at no charge for the part or the shipping. There is no third-party administrator to wait on. You deal directly with our team, and the part comes to your door.
A note on labor: This warranty covers parts and shipping but does not cover labor. That means we won't send a technician to install the replacement. In practice, the Rylan is designed for homeowner assembly — every panel connects with simple push-in connectors, and most parts can be swapped by the same person who assembled the sauna. Our support team is available by phone to walk you through the process if you need guidance.
If a replacement part requires electrical work — like a control panel on a 4-person 240V model — you're welcome to hire a licensed electrician. The cost of that service is yours, but the part itself is free.
What's Not Covered Under This Warranty
We want this to be clear before you buy, not something you discover after. Six things fall outside this warranty, and each one has a straightforward reason.
Cedar is a natural material. Even indoors, it can shift subtly in tone over time. This is a characteristic of the wood, not a defect, and does not affect the performance or structural integrity of your sauna.
If incorrect wiring causes damage to the control panel, heating panels, or other components, that's an installation issue — not a manufacturing defect. To be clear: self-installing the electrical work does not void the warranty. For 1- and 2-person models, no electrician is needed at all — the sauna plugs directly into a standard dedicated 120V outlet. Only damage specifically caused by improper wiring is excluded.
Scratches and minor surface marks that don't affect how the sauna functions or its structural integrity are considered normal wear and are not covered.
If the sauna is used outside its intended purpose or assembled in a way that conflicts with the provided instructions, resulting damage isn't covered. Follow the manual, use it as designed, and you're covered.
The Rylan Collection is engineered for indoor installation only. Covered patios, screened porches, sheds, and any space exposed to rain, snow, high humidity, or temperature extremes are not suitable environments for this sauna. Using the sauna in these conditions can damage electrical components and will void the warranty.
Garages that are protected from moisture are an acceptable location and will not affect your coverage. Performance is simply best in climate-controlled spaces.
The sauna must plug directly into a dedicated wall outlet. Extension cords and power strips are not rated for sustained high-wattage appliances and create fire and shock hazards. Damage resulting from their use is not covered.

Important Warranty Limitations
Original purchaser only. This warranty is non-transferable. If you sell your home or give the sauna to someone else, the warranty stays with you — it does not transfer to the new owner.
Geographic coverage. The warranty is valid in the United States and Canada.
Indoor use required. The Rylan Collection is designed and warranted for indoor installation only. Garages protected from moisture are acceptable. Outdoor use — including covered patios and screened porches — voids the warranty.
Installation method does not affect your warranty. Whether you hire a licensed electrician or handle the electrical yourself, the warranty remains valid. For 1- and 2-person models, no electrician is needed — the sauna plugs into a standard dedicated 120V outlet. Only damage caused by improper electrical installation is excluded.

Six things are excluded: normal wood weathering and color change, damage caused by improper electrical installation, cosmetic wear and surface scratches, misuse or failure to follow assembly instructions, damage from outdoor use or use in an unsuitable environment (garages protected from moisture are acceptable), and damage from the use of extension cords, power strips, or adapters.
